Make your own colouring page

How to write a description that makes a good picture, choose a style and paper, and what happens when a picture cannot be drawn.

A lit light bulb above a sheet of paper on which a rocket is being drawn, cut from painted paper.

You write what the picture should show, and we draw it with clear black lines, ready to print and colour in. It all happens in the box What shall we draw? in My pictures. You need an account and a few crayons.

How to write a good description

What works best is one thing doing one thing, somewhere. For example, a moose playing the guitar by a lake, or a hamster riding a Ferris wheel. A few tips:

You can write in English, or in any of the other languages the site is in.

The light bulb with ideas

If you do not know what you want to colour, press the light bulb next to the box. It lights up and suggests an idea. Press Another idea for the next one, or press the idea to use it. You can swap the underlined words for your own before you draw.

Style, paper and suggestions

Under the box you can choose, if you like:

While we draw

It takes a moment, usually less than half a minute. You can leave the page in the meantime: the pictures are drawn anyway and are in My pictures when you come back. You can have 2 rounds going at the same time, with several suggestions in each. If you send the same description again, with the same style, paper and number of suggestions, while we are drawing it, we stop it. Wait until the pictures are ready.

If it does not work

Either way, you get your crayons back. If the picture did not turn out the way you imagined, change the description or choose another style and draw again.

Afterwards

Open the suggestion you like and press Print. How the crayons work, and how you get more, is explained in how Pyssly's crayons work.
